There's a t-shirt in the back of every closet that outlasts everything else. Faded past its original color, hem stretched from years of being pulled over a wet head after a session. It's not in good shape. But you keep it anyway, because it's not really about the shape it's in.
That's the era we're building from, not the polished, overbranded coastal streetwear of the last decade, but the real thing that came before it: garment-dyed fabrics, oversized fits built to move and breathe, washes and fades designed to capture that same worn-in look the sun used to create on its own.
We didn't invent this look. It grew up on the sand between Huntington Beach and the North Shore, spread through skate parks and alleyways, and became the visual language of an entire generation. What we're doing is taking that same spirit and reference points, the shapes, the wear, the attitude, and building it into apparel with a cleaner, more editorial edge.
Lewison & Co. is built for those who live at the intersection of the shore and the street. We believe in quality over quantity. Apparel that moves with you, whether you're catching waves or navigating the city, built to last and made to stand out.
Every piece we make starts from that same standard: shapes that hold up, weights and washes designed to look lived-in instead of just wearing out, graphics that say something without shouting it. Some pieces wear the era on their sleeve. Others just carry it underneath.
Each piece goes through its own wash and fray process, so slight variations from the photos are normal. That's not a flaw. That's the process doing its job.
Built by the sea. Not because we're romanticizing the ocean, but because the sea demands honesty. Salt doesn't care about trends. The things that survive proximity to the coast are the things that were built right to begin with.
That's the lineage we're carrying forward.
